Kishan dismissed allegations of being an outsider, emphasizing his local roots in Gorakhpur. He criticized the Samajwadi Party’s Kajal Nishad, also an actor-politician, for making such claims. Kishan praised the welfare schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, crediting them for empowering the people.
