Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has unveiled its impressive list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, featuring key party leaders and family members. The campaign will be led by JMM supremo Shibu Soren and his son, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with their daughter-in-law, Kalpana. Chief Minister Champai Soren also made it to the list of prominent campaigners.
The Delhi High Court has restrained the Lokpal of India from taking further action in the investigation of two properties linked to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Shibu Soren until May 10. The court also issued a notice to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who filed the complaint against Soren, based on a petition filed by the JMM challenging the Lokpal’s order to the CBI to probe the properties. The JMM argues that the properties belong to the party, not Soren, and that the Lokpal’s order exceeds its authority under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act.

The court’s decision came in response to a plea filed by the JMM, which challenged the Lokpal’s March 4 order directing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the properties. The JMM argued that the Lokpal’s order was beyond its jurisdiction as the inquiry could only be against an individual, not a political party.
