Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo Elected President of National Rifle Association of India

Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo has been elected as the new president of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), succeeding Raninder Singh who stepped down last year due to term limits imposed by the National Sports Code. Deo, a former MP from Odisha, has been leading the NRAI as caretaker president since April 2022 and oversaw India’s successful performance at the Paris Olympics, where the country secured three bronze medals.

India Dominates World Deaf Shooting Championship in Hannover

India secured a dominant victory at the second World Deaf Shooting Championship in Hannover, Germany, topping the medal table with an impressive haul of seven gold, seven silver, and six bronze medals. Mahit Sandhu claimed gold in the women’s 50-meter rifle 3-position, while Abhinav Deshwal set a world record in the men’s 25-meter standard pistol, earning him a gold medal and special recognition from the organizers.
