India’s Avani Lekhara etched her name in the history books by becoming the first Indian to win consecutive Paralympic gold medals. She achieved this feat in the women’s 10m air rifle (SH1) event, setting a new Paralympic record. India also secured a historic double podium finish in the event, with Mona taking the bronze medal. On Day 2, India won a total of four medals, including a silver and two bronzes, highlighting their strong start at the Paris Paralympics.
