Pune Police have issued a show cause notice to the mother of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, demanding an explanation as to why her gun license should not be cancelled. The notice comes after a complaint from a local farmer who alleged threats from Manorama Khedkar. This development follows the confiscation of a luxury car used by Pooja Khedkar, which had an illegally installed red beacon light and ‘Maharashtra Government’ inscription. The car’s registered owner, a city-based private company, has also received a notice from the Pune Regional Transport Office.
