The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions in Rajasthan on May 10th, which are expected to subside thereafter. Coastal areas of Gujarat will experience hot and humid weather until May 14th. Delhi is predicted to receive light showers overnight. The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will hover around 27 degrees Celsius.
After a stretch of warm and mostly quiet weather, Utah will see two storms move through between Thursday and Saturday. These storms will bring widespread showers, cooler temperatures, and snow to the mountains. Snow accumulations of 6-12″ are possible above 8,000 ft. and 8-14″ in the Cottonwoods. The wet weather will help clean out the air and reset pollen levels.
Utah is marking Earth Day with pleasant weather and a potential for isolated showers. Northern Utah will experience cooler temperatures in the 60s and 70s, while southern Utah will see highs in the 70s and 80s. St. George may reach 90 degrees again. Most of the state will enjoy sunny to partly cloudy skies, but isolated showers may occur in central Utah and possibly extend to the I-80 corridor. Temperatures will rise slightly on Tuesday before surging more than 10 degrees above average on Wednesday in northern Utah. A storm system approaching from the west will bring cooler temperatures and showers to northern Utah on Thursday, spreading to southern Utah on Friday into Saturday. Temperatures will dip below normal by Saturday, with valley rain and mountain snow. The wet weather may linger through the weekend before clearing up and warming up early next week.
An area of low pressure moving through Manitoba could bring showers or thunderstorms to southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario. Northern Manitoba, however, is expected to experience sunshine and gusty winds. The weather is expected to improve in time for the Winnipeg Whiteout street party on Tuesday.
