AMD CPUs Face Sinkhole Vulnerability: Millions of Processors Vulnerable, But You Likely Don’t Need to Worry

Hundreds of millions of AMD CPUs are susceptible to a new vulnerability called Sinkhole, affecting processors dating back to 2006. While the vulnerability is serious, it’s highly unlikely to impact most users. Only the most recent AMD chips will receive a patch, leaving older models vulnerable. Despite the severity, Sinkhole requires deep access to a PC and is unlikely to affect everyday users.

North Elm Avenue in Jackson to Close for Sinkhole Repairs

North Elm Avenue in Jackson, Michigan will be closed starting Thursday morning, April 25th, due to a sinkhole. The closure will start at 7 a.m. and will affect the stretch of North Elm Avenue between East Ganson and East North Street. The closure is necessary to allow the Jackson Department of Public Works to safely repair the sinkhole, which has appeared at the intersection of North Elm Avenue and Leroy Street. The cause of the sinkhole is still being determined and will be investigated once the street is closed and repairs can begin. During the closure, access to homes and businesses in the affected area will be maintained. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes while the repairs are being made, which are expected to be completed by Friday morning.
