Prajwal Revanna to Appear Before SIT in Sex Abuse Case on May 31

Responding to his grandfather’s call to return and face the probe, JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna has announced his appearance before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on May 31st. He left India on April 27th, following the formation of an SIT to investigate allegations against him. Revanna has apologized to his parents and attributed his foreign trip to political conspiracy and depression.

Supreme Court Petition Demands SIT Probe into Electoral Bond Scam

The non-profit organizations Common Cause and Centre for Public Interest Litigation (CPIL) have filed a petition in the Supreme Court, demanding a special investigation team (SIT) probe under judicial supervision into an alleged scam in electoral financing using electoral bonds (EBs). The petition claims that at least 20 firms have contributed over ₹ 100 crore to political parties within three years of their establishment and provides evidence of substantial irregularities and potential violations of the Companies Act.
