NASA’s SLS Rocket Embarks on Journey to Kennedy Space Center for Artemis II Mission

NASA’s powerful Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, set to carry four astronauts on the Artemis II mission to the moon, has begun its journey to the Kennedy Space Center. The rocket’s core stage, a massive 213-foot-tall structure, is being transported on a barge after departing NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility. The Artemis II mission, scheduled for September 2025, will mark the return of humans to lunar orbit for the first time since 1972, paving the way for a future lunar landing mission.
