McNamara played a pivotal role, striking out five batters and allowing only one earned run. The Titans’ impressive lineup also contributed to their success, with the first four batters getting on base in the opening inning. Mission Viejo, ranked 10th in CIF-SS Division 2, posed a challenge with a 4-4 tie in the second inning, but Tesoro held firm and clinched the title.
Jessica Mooney’s impressive performance on the mound and at the plate propelled Ocean City to a 4-1 victory over Atlantic Tech in a softball matchup. Amelia Lohrey, a senior outfielder for Aurora Central Catholic, balances her academic aspirations to become a commercial pilot with her athletic prowess on the softball field. Despite a recent loss to Oswego East, Lohrey’s leadership and determination continue to drive her team towards success.
