First Lady Jill Biden Launches Wounded Warrior Project’s Soldier Ride from White House

First Lady Jill Biden launched the Wounded Warrior Project’s annual Soldier Ride from the White House lawn on Wednesday, highlighting the importance of supporting service members and their families. She spoke about the administration’s efforts to expand veteran access to healthcare, provide benefits for veterans exposed to toxins, and address homelessness and suicide among veterans. President Joe Biden joined the first lady and praised the riders as the ‘spine of America.’ The Wounded Warrior Project, founded in 2003, provides support to veterans and their loved ones who have been injured or ill in military service since September 11, 2001. The Soldier Ride began in 2004 to raise awareness for wounded veterans.
