A 21-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition after consuming a coffee contaminated with flies at Majorca’s Son Sant Joan Airport. The incident, which occurred on Monday morning, resulted in anaphylactic shock for the woman, who works for an airline. Airport staff administered an adrenaline shot and transported her to a hospital in Palma, where she spent 36 hours in intensive care before being released on Wednesday. The vending machine from which the coffee was purchased has been closed, and an investigation has been launched by Palma Airport. The woman’s family has filed a complaint with the National Police, citing potential public health risks from the poorly maintained vending machine.
