A lightning strike illuminated the night sky in China, causing a shower of sparks to cascade down the roof of a house in a mountainside village near Zunyi, Guizhou province, on Thursday, April 18th. The peaceful scene was abruptly interrupted by a loud blast and fragments of the roof material scattering onto the ground, quickly fizzling out in the pouring rain. Fortunately, the house was unoccupied at the time of the strike, and no injuries were reported.
