SC to Soon List Plea Seeking SIT to Probe Electoral Bond Disclosures

The Supreme Court has assured advocate Prashant Bhushan that a petition to establish a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations of quid pro quo, corruption, and kickbacks in electoral bond disclosures will be heard soon. The petition, filed by Common Cause and the Centre for Public Interest Litigation, alleges that investigative agencies like the CBI, ED, and I-T Department have been compromised, as several companies under investigation have made substantial donations to the ruling party. The investigation aims to uncover the conspiracy involving company officials, government officials, political party functionaries, and potentially corrupt agency officers.

Prajwal Revanna Sex Tape Case: MP Seeks Time, Revanna Residence Witness to Ritual

Prajwal Revanna, the Karnataka MP embroiled in the sex tape case, has sought a seven-day extension to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the matter. Meanwhile, at the residence of HD Revanna, Prajwal’s father, a ‘Havan’ ceremony was conducted. Revanna and his son are facing allegations of sexual harassment, with a case registered against them at Holenarasipura.

Prajwal Revanna Suspended from JD(S) Amid Allegations of Sexual Assault

Prajwal Revanna, an alleged accused of sexual assault video case and the BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate for the Hassan constituency, has been suspended from Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)). The decision was announced by JD(S) core committee president GT Devegowda following a meeting in Hubbali. The JD(S) has welcomed the establishment of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations. Karnataka police had earlier registered criminal charges against Prajwal and his father, HD Revanna, based on a complaint by their former house help.
