Matthew McConaughey is reportedly in negotiations to star in the spinoff, but no official confirmation has been made. The dispute between Costner and Paramount stems from scheduling conflicts due to his commitment to his Western film project, “Horizon: An American Saga.” Costner has expressed a desire to shape his character’s fate but is reportedly unhappy with the way his exit is being handled. Pharmaceutical giant Sanofi is exploring the potential spinoff or sale of its consumer health products division, which could be valued at over $20 billion. The company has reportedly approached investment banks for proposals on the transaction, which could take place as early as the fourth quarter of this year.

Brian Helgeland, the Oscar-winning screenwriter known for ‘L.A. Confidential’ and ‘Mystic River,’ pitched a ‘Game of Thrones’ spinoff series titled ‘Ten Thousand Ships’ to HBO. The series would have centered on Queen Nymeria, the legendary founder of Dorne, and her people as they flee their home on a fleet of ships. Helgeland’s pitch was well-received by HBO, but the series was ultimately not picked up due to concerns about its historical distance from the main ‘Game of Thrones’ series. Helgeland remains hopeful that the series could still be produced in the future.
