India’s Chess Olympiad champions were honored by the Union Sports Minister and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports. The champions, who recently won gold in Budapest, were commended for their achievements and encouraged to inspire the next generation of athletes.

Union Sports Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya honored Olympic medalist Sarabjot Singh with a cash award of Rs 22.5 lakh, recognizing his bronze medal win in the mixed air pistol event at the Paris Olympics. The Minister also commended the performance of the entire shooting squad and emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and the Khelo India scheme in nurturing young athletes.
