India’s Chess Olympiad Champions Showered with Rs 3.2 Crore in Rewards

The All India Chess Federation (AICF) announced a whopping Rs 3.2 crore in rewards for the Indian teams that won the historic 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest. Each player from the winning teams will receive Rs 25 lakh, while the captains and coaches will also be generously rewarded. This victory, marked by both the men’s and women’s teams clinching their first-ever gold medals, is seen as a significant milestone in Indian chess, promising a new wave of enthusiasm and talent in the sport.
