Ahead of the F4 event in Chennai, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) captured 42 stray dogs to prevent disruption during the race. The dogs were taken to the Pulianthope pound for sterilization and will be released after the event. This action was taken after a stray dog entered the race track, disrupting free practice on Saturday. Meanwhile, other cities are tackling the issue of stray dogs with increased sterilization programs and the development of new facilities.
