Following the tragic deaths of three students in a coaching institute due to waterlogging in Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has launched a sealing drive against coaching centers violating regulations. Mayor Shelly Oberoi led the crackdown, personally sealing a basement in Preet Vihar and ordering the closure of numerous centers in Rajinder Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar.

Three Indian students from Punjab were killed in a road accident in Canada last week. The victims were identified as Harman Somal (23), Navjot Somal (19), and Rashmdeep Kaur (23). The accident occurred on July 27, when the car they were traveling in lost control after a tire burst. The families of the victims have requested the Punjab government to facilitate the return of the bodies.
The Indian government has reported 633 deaths of Indian students abroad in the last five years, with Canada leading the list with 172 cases. The data, provided in India’s Parliament, highlights the concerns over student safety and the need for stronger support systems abroad.
A disheartening road accident in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, has claimed the lives of five individuals. The incident occurred when a car carrying six occupants lost control and plunged into a deep ditch. Four of the victims were students from IMS Unison University in Dehradun, accompanied by a student from Dehradun Institute of Technology University. The lone survivor, Nancy, is currently battling critical injuries in the hospital. Sadly, two other passengers succumbed to their wounds during treatment. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his condolences for the tragic loss of lives.
