Columbia University Extends Talks with Anti-Israel Protesters

Columbia University is continuing negotiations with student protesters who have established an anti-Israel encampment on campus. Despite an initial midnight deadline, the administration has extended the discussion period for 48 hours as they work towards an agreement to dismantle the camp. Representatives from the student group, Students for Justice in Palestine, Columbia University Apartheid Divest, have indicated that they will not resume talks until they receive a written commitment from the administration that force will not be used to remove the encampment.
