A recent study by Oxford International’s Student Global Mobility Index (SGMI) revealed that the US is the preferred destination for Indian students pursuing education abroad, with 69% of respondents opting for it. This preference stems from the esteemed reputation of American universities and the high quality of education they offer. Other popular destinations for Indian students include the UK (54%), Canada (43%), and Australia (27%). Notably, the study found that familial guidance plays a significant role in shaping students’ decisions, with 71% of Indian students citing parents or guardians as primary influencers.
