Indian para athletes showcased their prowess at the World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan, claiming several gold medals on Tuesday. Leading the charge was Sumit Antil, who extended his dominance in the F64 javelin event, securing gold with a winning throw of 69.50m. Fellow athletes Thangavelu Mariyappan and Ekta Bhyan also emerged victorious in the high jump and club throw events, respectively. India’s impressive performance contributed to their rise to third place on the medals table, bringing their total tally to 10 medals (4 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze).
