Monster Energy Supercross Returns to Philadelphia in Daytime Spectacular

The 2024 Monster Energy Supercross season continues with a rare daytime race in Philadelphia, marking the second new market this season after Birmingham, Alabama. The race will be the first stadium race in Philadelphia in 44 years and only the second Supercross event in the city’s history. Jett Lawrence, the championship leader, will face his struggles in non-standard formats and muddy events. Cooper Webb, trailing Lawrence by five points, needs to win a race and finish ahead of his rival in the remaining three rounds to control his fate. Jo Shimoda is gaining momentum with consistent podium finishes, while Nashville has become a brutal round with multiple riders suffering injuries last year and this year.

Jett Lawrence Victorious in Nashville, Reclaims Championship Lead

Jett Lawrence dominated Round 14 of the Monster Energy Supercross season in Nashville, securing his sixth win and regaining sole possession of the championship lead. Despite Cooper Webb’s observation of Lawrence’s aggressive riding, the young star proved his dominance on the track, making up significant time in the sand section. Eli Tomac finished second, followed by Cooper Webb in third, with Jason Anderson and Justin Barcia rounding out the top five. Ken Roczen’s dramatic crash resulted in a 21st-place finish, allowing Anderson to move into the top five in points. Chase Sexton’s race ended prematurely due to a throttle issue.
