Prajwal Revanna, former Janata Dal (Secular) MP, is facing a fourth sexual harassment case in Karnataka. The case, filed under sections for sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation, names Prajwal and three others, including former BJP MLA Preetham Gowda, for sharing images recorded during the harassment. Meanwhile, Prajwal’s brother, Suraj Revanna, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a male party worker.
The case of alleged sexual abuse against JD(S) MLC Suraj Revanna, brother of ex-Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). A 27-year-old man accused Suraj of sexual abuse at his farmhouse in June, leading to the registration of a case at Holenarasipura Rural Police Station. While Suraj claims a conspiracy, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed the CID investigation citing similar cases previously handed over to the agency.
A Janata Dal (Secular) worker, Chethan KS, and his brother-in-law have been booked for allegedly attempting to extort ₹5 crore from Suraj Revanna, the brother of Prajwal Revanna, who is currently in judicial custody for alleged sexual assault. Chethan allegedly threatened to file a false sexual assault case against Suraj if he did not comply with their demands. This incident comes amidst the ongoing legal proceedings against Prajwal Revanna, who is facing multiple accusations of sexual abuse.
