Anime Nation Fest: Poor Attendance, Misleading Vendors, and High Costs Draw Criticism

Anime Nation Fest, held from April 19-21 at the LA Convention Center, has faced criticism for low attendance, poor organization, and allegedly misleading information provided to vendors. Vendor Ayime criticized the lack of signage and advertising, minimal footfall, and limited attendees. Another vendor, Keyyahnuh, alleged that the parent company provided inflated attendance estimates to attract vendors. Independent artists and vendors voiced concerns about the high stall costs, which ranged from $400 to $800, and the lack of a substantial audience to justify the expenses. Anime Expo and LA Comic Con, which are held at the same venue, have significantly higher attendance and offer a more comprehensive experience for guests and vendors.
