India is considering re-imposing restrictions on the import of laptops, tablets, and PCs in a bid to boost domestic tech manufacturing. This move aims to encourage companies like Apple and Samsung to increase production within the country. While similar restrictions were proposed last year but withdrawn due to industry backlash, the government believes enough time has passed for companies to adjust.
