Joker: Folie à Deux Bombs at the Box Office, Replaced by Low-Budget Horror Sequel

Warner Bros. is facing another box office disappointment with ‘Joker: Folie à Deux,’ its sequel to the critically acclaimed ‘Joker,’ underperforming in its opening weekend. The film, which cost $190 million to make, grossed only $37.8 million, falling far short of projections. Meanwhile, the low-budget horror sequel ‘Terrifier 3’ is projected to surpass ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ in its second weekend, showcasing a surprising shift in audience interest.

Terrifier 3 Clown Head Popcorn Bucket Petition Gains Traction

Movie enthusiasts are clamoring for a unique Terrifier 3 merchandise: a clown head-shaped popcorn bucket. Fans have launched an online petition demanding its creation, gaining over 3450 signatures. The bucket design features the likeness of Art the Clown, the film’s iconic antagonist. The petition urges theaters planning to screen Terrifier 3 to introduce these exclusive popcorn buckets. This is not the first time movie merchandising has pushed boundaries, with previous examples including Mortal Kombat’s suggestive-looking popcorn bucket and Ryan Reynolds teasing an upcoming Deadpool popcorn bucket. Terrifier 3, directed by Damien Leone, is scheduled for release on October 25, 2024, and will see the return of Art the Clown wreaking havoc on Miles County.
