NIA Arrests Fifth Suspect in Bengaluru Cafe Blast Case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained 35-year-old Shoaib Ahmed Mirza, also known as Chhotu, in connection with the 2021 Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru. Mirza, a former inmate convicted in a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror conspiracy, allegedly plotted this attack upon his release from prison. He is accused of introducing the arrested accused to a handler abroad and providing an encrypted communication channel for them. This arrest follows a massive crackdown across four states, in which 11 locations linked to suspects were searched, resulting in the seizure of digital devices and documents for further investigation.
