Set around 100 years before the events of 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, The Acolyte offers a standalone story with compelling characters and a refreshing tone. The series balances its darker elements with moments of levity, and its fast-paced narrative keeps viewers engaged. While there are a few flaws, the impressive performances of Lee Jung-jae and Amandla Stenberg, along with the series’ unique visual style, make The Acolyte a standout addition to the Star Wars universe.
