After facing legal threats from Sacha Baron Cohen’s attorneys, Harper Collins has redacted a defamatory chapter about the comedian from Rebel Wilson’s memoir, ‘Rebel Rising.’ Wilson had publicly accused Baron Cohen of mistreating her on the set of ‘The Brothers Grimsby,’ but her claims were challenged by Cohen’s camp, who maintained they were provably false. Despite Wilson’s continued public comments, Harper Collins removed the allegations to avoid legal consequences. The redaction marks a victory for Baron Cohen, who has consistently denied Wilson’s accusations.
Rebel Wilson, in her forthcoming memoir, ‘Rebel Rising,’ alleges that a minor royal from the British royal family invited her to a drug-fueled orgy at a US billionaire’s home in 2014. Wilson claims that the invitation came from a royal who was ‘fifteenth or twentieth in line to the British throne.’ She also alleges that, during the same year, she was offered $2 million to spend a weekend with a Jordanian prince, an offer she declined.
