India’s Medical Regulator Eases Thesis Requirements to Address Mental Health Concerns

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has removed the mandatory requirement for postgraduate medical students to get thesis approval before taking their final exams, aiming to reduce mental health issues and pressure. The new policy emphasizes thesis quality through external evaluation and allocates marks for thesis performance.
