Woman Delivers Baby Girl on KSRTC Bus in Kerala’s Thrissur District

A woman gave birth to a baby girl on a KSRTC bus in Kerala’s Thrissur district on May 29th. The incident occurred as the woman was traveling on the bus and went into labor. The bus driver promptly diverted to the Amala Hospital campus for assistance, where the birth took place. According to Dr. Yasir Sulaiman from Amala Hospital, the labor pain had already begun, and it was impossible to move the woman to the emergency department. The medical team then assisted in the birth and cut the umbilical cord on the spot, ensuring the safety of both the baby and the mother. Both the mother and the newborn are currently in good health.

Thrissur Witnesses Removal of Over Six Lakh Campaign Materials

Over six lakh election campaign materials, including posters, banners, flex boards, and decorative ribbons, were removed or marked with black paint in Thrissur district due to violations of the model code of conduct. The anti-defacement squad, under the district election administration, acted on complaints from both public and private property owners. The squad removed a total of 6,90,521 items, of which 2,523 were removed from private properties after unauthorized use. The district administration received thousands of complaints through the cVigil mobile application, and over 10,000 have been addressed. No fines were imposed at the time, but decisions regarding penalties will be made after the elections on April 26.
