A 12-year-old boy, Kaif Mohammad, has tragically lost his life to electrocution during a thunderstorm that swept through Delhi on Tuesday. The incident occurred in Khaira village, Chhawla, while the boy was standing outside his residence amid strong winds and a dust storm. According to police officials, he came into contact with an electric pole and was electrocuted. Despite being rushed to RTRM Hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. A case has been registered at Chhawla Police Station, and investigations are underway.

Delhi Relief as Thunderstorm, Rain Break Heat Spell

Delhi witnessed a welcome respite from the scorching heat as a pre-monsoon storm brought rain and gusty winds. The intense heatwave conditions, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius, gave way to a dust storm followed by a thunderstorm with rainfall and strong winds ranging from 40 to 70 kmph. The weather department anticipates the storm to continue for the next two hours over Delhi and the National Capital Region. The minimum temperature remains at 22.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is expected to settle around 38 degrees Celsius.
