Following a massive dust storm accompanied by heavy rainfall on Monday, Mumbai Nowcast has issued a thunderstorm alert for Tuesday. The alert covers Central Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, and Badlapur. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted continued rainfall in Mumbai until May 18, along with isolated heavy rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds.
