ITA Airways is expanding its North American presence by launching a new route between Rome Fiumicino Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport. This direct service will provide travelers with convenient access between Italy and Canada. The airline has prioritized North America as part of its summer 2024 expansion strategy and has also recently launched a Chicago service. ITA believes the Toronto route represents a significant product offering, enhancing connections from North America, their largest market after Italy. The flights will operate initially six times a week, increasing to daily during the busy summer months using Airbus A330 aircraft.
