Surge in Uzbek Tourism: 1.3 Million Citizens Travel Abroad in Q1 2024

Uzbekistan’s tourism industry has witnessed a significant increase in the first quarter of 2024. Approximately 1.3 million Uzbek citizens embarked on international trips for leisure, representing a substantial 40.7% growth compared to the same period last year. This surge reflects a positive trend in the country’s tourism sector, driven by various initiatives to attract both domestic and international visitors.

India-Thailand Travel Soars as Visa Waiver Extension Fuels Demand

Travel between India and Thailand has surged by 50% thanks to an extended visa waiver initiative. The Thai authorities have prolonged the visa-free entry period for Indian travelers until November 11, 2024, leading to a significant increase in reservations and searches for Thailand trips. Popular destinations include Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Koh Phangan, the Similan Islands, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Khao Lak, and Koh Lanta.
