In a groundbreaking collaboration with Dhipaya Insurance, TAGTHAi has launched an initiative to provide free accident insurance, ‘Dhipaya Takaful,’ to users of the TAGTHAi Pass. This initiative aims to elevate the travel experience and guarantee the well-being of visitors to Thailand. As part of the ‘Safe Thailand’ campaign, this program aligns with efforts to boost tourism and revitalize the national economy. All tourists aged 20-70 who procure the TAGTHAi Pass will automatically receive the ‘Dhipaya Takaful’ accident insurance for the duration of the virtual travel card, valid from May 28, 2024, to March 31, 2025.

Woman Hospitalized After Drinking Coffee with Insects from Airport Vending Machine

A 21-year-old airline employee suffered anaphylactic shock after consuming coffee from an airport vending machine infested with insects. The incident occurred in the Son Sant Joan airport in Palma, Majorca, leaving the woman with severe swelling and difficulty breathing. She spent 36 hours in the intensive care unit before being discharged. Her family has filed a complaint with the National Police, alleging possible public health violations and reckless injuries. The vending machine has since been closed down due to poor maintenance.

Scottish Tourist Injured in Bear Attack While Attempting Selfie

A 72-year-old Scottish tourist, Moira Gallacher, was injured by a bear in Romania while trying to take a selfie. The incident occurred in the Carpathian Mountains, where Gallacher and her friend Charmian Widdowson encountered two bears. Gallacher initially rolled down her window to take a photo, but the bear returned and attempted to get into the car. Despite wearing protective clothing, Gallacher sustained a bite on her right hand and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
