A New Yorker captured on video a police tow truck damaging a parked Honda Civic. The driver used a hook to pull the car from its parking spot, causing damage to its wheels and drivetrain. According to attorney Ugo Lord, the NYPD could be liable for the damages since they failed to prevent damage to the vehicle while in their possession. However, viewers of Lord’s video expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of the video evidence in court.
