Range Rover Electric Races Closer to Showrooms

Range Rover is gearing up to unveil the Range Rover Electric, its first electric car. Currently undergoing testing on Sweden’s frozen lakes, the EV utilizes a new traction control system that drastically reduces reaction time to slip. This technology enhances both on-road safety and off-road capabilities. The electric drive unit and battery are both manufactured in-house, marking a first for the JLR group. Visually, the electric version subtly differs from its counterparts with only a charging port distinguishing it. Order books opened in late 2023, and the vehicle features an 800V electrical architecture, 850mm wading depth, and various amenities for a seamless ownership experience.
