Bitcoin Traders Remain Confident Despite Price Fluctuations

Despite Bitcoin’s recent struggles around the $60,000 mark, many cryptocurrency traders remain confident that this is merely a temporary dip on the path to much higher valuations. Experts suggest a long-term perspective, emphasizing consistent accumulation and ignoring short-term volatility. Data indicates that large holders are actively accumulating Bitcoin, suggesting a strong belief in its future potential.

Short Buildup Explained

Short buildup refers to a situation where an individual or institution sells borrowed shares of a stock with the expectation of repurchasing them at a lower price in the future. This practice is often used by traders who believe that a stock’s price is overvalued and will decline. When a short buildup occurs, it can put downward pressure on the stock’s price, potentially leading to a decline in its value.

Deutsche Bank Beats Profit Estimates as Investment Banking Soars

Deutsche Bank has reported a 10% increase in first-quarter profit due to a surge in fixed-income trading and deal-making within its investment banking division. The bank’s net profit reached 1.275 billion euros ($1.37 billion), surpassing analyst expectations and offsetting declines in other divisions. The investment banking arm regained its position as Deutsche’s primary revenue generator, outperforming the retail division. This marks the 15th consecutive quarter of profitability for the bank, a significant milestone after years of losses.

As of early evening in Tokyo, Japanese officials have remained conspicuously silent amid the steady rise of USD/JPY. This unusual lack of verbal intervention has raised expectations that the Japanese government may be hoping traders will interpret the quiet as a warning and refrain from pushing the currency pair beyond 155.00. The silence has contributed to a relatively muted day in broader markets, with the dollar holding steady against the euro and pound and European indices showing only marginal gains.
