Landslide in Nepal Sweeps Two Buses into Trishuli River, Dozens Missing

A landslide on the Madan-Ashrit Highway in Central Nepal swept two buses carrying approximately 63 passengers into the Trishuli River. The incident occurred early Friday morning, and rescue efforts are hampered by heavy rain and the swollen river. Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed his condolences and ordered all government agencies to assist in the search and rescue operation. Flights from Kathmandu to Chitwan’s Bharatpur have been canceled due to the weather conditions.
