Child Abuse Charges: Henderson Parents Arrested for ‘Inhospitable Living Conditions’

Two Henderson parents, 46-year-old Misty Scanlan and 41-year-old Jeffery Scanlan, have been arrested on charges of child abuse and neglect. This arrest stems from a truancy investigation involving their 11-year-old child. Upon responding to their home, authorities found the child residing in ‘inhospitable living conditions’ within a metal enclosure. Both parents were taken into custody and booked into the Henderson Detention Center. Child Protective Services was notified and assisted in the investigation.
