Daimler Truck has announced that it will begin series production of its long-haul electric truck, the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, at its Wörth plant in late November. India is aiming to significantly reduce pollution from its trucking industry by promoting the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The Oil Ministry plans to encourage the conversion of existing trucks to LNG and mandate LNG use for a third of new trucks, citing its lower emissions compared to diesel.
