HNO International (HNOI) has signed an offtake agreement to supply hydrogen generated from its SHEP platform to a Texas-based leader in zero-emission transportation. This partnership will see HNOI’s clean hydrogen fuel Class 8 fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), marking a significant step towards cleaner transportation in the trucking industry.
Daimler Truck has announced that it will begin series production of its long-haul electric truck, the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, at its Wörth plant in late November. This heavy-duty truck features a battery capacity exceeding 600 kilowatt hours, providing a range of 500 kilometers on a single charge. The company aims to decarbonize long-distance haulage, a major contributor to CO2 emissions in the trucking industry.
India is aiming to significantly reduce pollution from its trucking industry by promoting the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The Oil Ministry plans to encourage the conversion of existing trucks to LNG and mandate LNG use for a third of new trucks, citing its lower emissions compared to diesel. This move aligns with India’s efforts to reduce air pollution and meet its target of increasing natural gas in its energy mix.
