Thousands of Winnipeg Jets fans are expected to gather in downtown Winnipeg on Tuesday night for Game Two of the team’s first round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche. The Jets are looking to build on their momentum from Sunday’s series-opening win. A sold-out crowd is anticipated at the Party in the Plaza and the street party on Donald Street outside Canada Life Centre. True North’s senior vice-president of sales, Norva Riddell, expects Tuesday’s game to be another exciting event. The street party will start at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening for the arena at 7:30 p.m. The Jets hope to continue their playoff run and host more street parties in the future.
