East Delhi Lok Sabha MP Harsh Malhotra has been sworn-in as Union Minister of State in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 58-year-old BJP leader was picked for the post after the party dropped its sitting MP Gautam Gambhir from the East Delhi constituency. Malhotra defeated Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kuldeep Kumar in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
