European Cities Need €1.5 Trillion Investment for Sustainable Mobility

A new study by EIT Urban Mobility reveals that European cities will need a massive investment of €1.5 trillion to achieve the EU’s Green Deal emissions goals by 2025. Gogoro Battery Swapping Launched in Colombia through Terpel Voltex Brand

Terpel and Gogoro Inc. have partnered to launch Gogoro’s battery swapping service in Colombia through the Terpel Voltex brand. This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable two-wheel transportation in the country. The Gogoro 2 Plus and Gogoro VIVA Mix Smartscooters have been introduced alongside the battery swapping service. Gogoro’s battery swapping technology addresses the challenges of traditional plug-in charging, offering a safe, reliable, and convenient alternative for urban transportation. Terpel’s commitment to supporting electromobility solutions complements Gogoro’s open and interoperable battery swapping platform. The initial phase of the partnership includes four Gogoro battery swapping stations at Terpel service stations, with plans to expand to fourteen locations by the end of 2024 and further expansion to other cities like Medellin. Gogoro’s battery swapping ecosystem has proven successful, with over 590 million battery swaps to date and more than 400,000 battery swaps per day. Its network in Taiwan supports over 600,000 riders and has more than 1.4 million smart batteries in circulation. Terpel, with its extensive network of over 2,300 service stations in Colombia and other countries, aims to make battery swapping more accessible and convenient for users.
