US Ammunition Shipments to Ukraine: Boosting the Fight Against Russia

The Pentagon has prepared ammunition deliveries to Ukraine, which are now being sent via Poland and Germany. These shipments include ATACMS artillery shells with a range of 300 kilometers, which can target Russian command structures and depots more effectively. Ukraine has implemented decentralized logistics to protect the supplies from air attacks, utilizing multiple trains and heavy-duty transporters. The regional airport in Rzeszow, Poland, serves as a critical hub for international aid, while the Miesau Ammo Depot in Germany holds the largest US ammunition depot outside the United States. The US aid package aims to alleviate pressure on Ukraine’s European allies but requires European countries to strengthen their defenses and provide ongoing support.
