Senate Republican campaign chief Steve Daines is tempering any talk of a red wave this autumn leading to a large GOP majority in the chamber. While Republicans are looking at a favorable Senate map this year, Daines emphasizes that he is aiming for a slim majority of 51 seats. However, he acknowledges that competitive and contentious primaries, such as those in Michigan and Nevada, remain a challenge.
