USC Students Stage Occupation in Solidarity with Palestine, Demand Divestment and Boycott

Amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, dozens of pro-Palestinian students at the University of Southern California (USC) launched an occupation of Alumni Park on April 24th, 2021. Calling themselves the USC Divest from Death Coalition, the students issued a series of demands, including the divestment of university investments from companies that allegedly profit from the Israeli occupation of Palestine and an academic boycott of Israel. The action adds USC to a growing list of college campuses across the nation experiencing encampments and protests over the conflict.
