Valarie Allman, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in discus throw, will serve as the international event ambassador for the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon. She joins a strong elite field that includes reigning world record holder Joshua Cheptegai and former world record holder Peres Jepchirchir. The event will take place on October 20th.
American Valarie Allman successfully defended her Olympic women’s discus throw title in Paris, achieving a best throw of 69.50 meters. China’s Feng Bin secured silver with 67.51m, and Croatia’s Sandra Elkasevic claimed bronze with the same distance. Allman, undefeated this year, showcased her dominant form throughout the final.
